The Five Ds are incredibly important as a principle of self-defense, and their lack shows here what happens when we ignore them. Deflect, Dominate, Distract, Disarm, Disable. The victim in this case got Deflect and several times he got Dominate. He dominated the arm holding the knife on multiple occasions.
